The Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL), along with the NHL's Washington Capitals, are proud to host the First Annual JWHL Challenge Cup in Rockville, MD. The Challenge Cup will be played during Hockey Weekend Across America - so please come out and support the great game of hockey!
The JWHL is comprised of North American teams competing in the leagues inaugural season. The JWHL has united teams, coaches and players who are dedicated to not only reaching their peak potential, but to also grow the game of Women’s Ice Hockey.
It's long been the vision of league founders to gather exceptional teams from outside of North America to compete in a very selective tournament. Our goal is to make this an event that brings the best of the best together!
Venue: Rockville Ice Arena
Format: Six games per team. Games are 20-20-20 stop time, flood between 2nd and 3rd
periods (time permitting).
Rules: USA Hockey rules will govern play (USA Hockey Sanction #SE2008035).

Location: Rockville, Maryland is a suburb of Washington DC, only 20 minutes to the many
historic points of Washington DC and home to the NHL’s Washington Capitals.
Getting there: Rockville is served by 3 major airports: Dulles International (IAD), Reagan
National (DCA), and Baltimore-Washington International (BWI).
